About the position

The Chief AI Scientist and Architect at SAP will lead the Business AI team, focusing on developing and implementing AI/ML architecture strategies to integrate Generative AI capabilities into SAP's ecosystem. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance business applications with intelligent features and ensuring the delivery of scalable AI solutions across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive the AI/ML architecture strategy for SAP's ecosystem.
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance AI/ML solutions.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable AI/ML patterns.
• Act as a thought leader and subject matter expert in Generative AI within SAP.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, data science, and research teams to align AI initiatives with business goals.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years of post-graduate, international professional experience in research and/or software development.
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Generative AI and large language models.
• Demonstrated experience architecting and deploying large-scale cloud offerings.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with data science libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Expertise in designing and implementing machine learning pipelines.
• Experience with distributed computing and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and security considerations in AI/ML projects.
