About the position

The Chief Clinical Technology Officer (CCTO) at York University plays a crucial role in providing strategic leadership and operational management for clinical technology services within the College of Dentistry. The CCTO will develop and execute a comprehensive clinical technology strategy that meets the evolving needs of healthcare and academia, while collaborating with various stakeholders to align technology plans with the College's mission.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational management for clinical technology services.
• Oversee the clinical technology environment supporting patient care and clinical education functions.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive clinical technology strategy.
• Collaborate with the Chief Information Officer and senior management to manage a central technology plan.
• Communicate and manage technology initiatives that align with the College's overall mission.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience managing clinical information technology.
• Proven leadership experience in a complex healthcare environment.
• Substantial managerial experience in planning and directing technical functions.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant industry certifications such as Cybersecurity or data science.
• 7+ years of experience in healthcare or academic IT management.
• Knowledge of current and emerging healthcare and information technologies.
