About the position

The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) will lead the global compliance program, advising senior management on risk and compliance issues while fostering a culture of ethical behavior. The CCO will oversee a team across the United States, ensuring adherence to laws and company policies, and will play a key role in developing and implementing compliance strategies that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Advise senior management on risk and compliance issues related to commercial insurance, employee health and benefits, personal lines, and retirement services.
• Foster an environment where colleagues feel comfortable raising concerns.
• Stay updated on regulatory developments impacting the industry and propose solutions that align with strategic business plans.
• Inspire and develop talent with a focus on inclusion and diversity.
• Collaborate with operational colleagues to implement process changes and promote compliance with applicable laws.
• Lead the MMA Risk Committee and align with compliance and enterprise risk management frameworks.
• Develop relationships with key regulatory authorities and represent MMA in industry associations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.
• Detailed knowledge of laws applicable to MMA, including rebating, referral fees, trade sanctions, cybersecurity, and data protection.
• Experience interacting with regulatory authorities and conducting internal investigations.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
