The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) position is a critical role within our client company, an established minority-owned financial services firm with over 15 years of experience in New Jersey. This firm provides a comprehensive suite of institutional brokerage services to a diverse clientele, including corporations, financial institutions, hedge funds, endowments, and public pensions. The CCO will work remotely and is expected to manage compliance functions on a part-time basis, specifically 1/4-time, under a 1099 contract arrangement. The role comes with a generous annual salary and is focused on ensuring that the organization adheres to all regulatory standards and internal policies while remaining informed about regulatory developments and requirements. In this position, the CCO will be responsible for overseeing the compliance program across the organization. This includes managing examinations and communications with regulatory entities, handling regulatory filings, addressing customer complaints, and performing ongoing compliance surveillance functions. The CCO will spearhead audits and examinations to assess adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies, ensuring that the firm remains compliant in all its operations.
