About the position

The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) at Hollister Incorporated is responsible for leading the Global Compliance Program, ensuring adherence to laws and regulations applicable to the medical device and healthcare service sectors. This role involves proactive compliance guidance, training, and collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance compliance efforts across the organization. The CCO will also manage a team of compliance professionals and serve as a subject matter expert on legal and compliance developments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Hollister's Global Compliance Program and provide proactive compliance guidance to global business units.
  • Develop, refine, implement, and drive processes, policies, and procedures for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain an ongoing monitoring program to measure the effectiveness of the compliance program.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support on ethics and compliance issues to U.S. and regional business units.
  • Ensure the Global Compliance Program meets the elements of an effective compliance program.
  • Conduct due diligence, education, and monitoring of third-party intermediaries for compliance understanding.
  • Identify compliance risks and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the compliance program.
  • Lead investigations of noncompliance allegations and develop corrective action plans.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of compliance professionals.
  • Stay updated on legal and compliance developments and serve as a subject matter expert.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience leading the compliance function for a global healthcare company.
  • Experience practicing healthcare law in both a law firm and a corporation is a plus.
  • A JD from a leading law school with proven academic success, or equivalent healthcare compliance experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in auditing or monitoring compliance processes and controls.
  • Strong cross-cultural communication skills and experience working with non-U.S. stakeholders.
