About the position

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Chief Data/AI Engineer to lead the design and operation of integrated Enterprise IT solutions that deliver AI-enabled capabilities. This role is crucial for enhancing decision-making and operational efficiency across the Department of Defense, focusing on the development and continuous improvement of analytic, AI/ML, RPA, and decision support solutions.

Responsibilities

• Innovate and enhance CJADC2 systems, including operational analysis and design proposal.
• Oversee the development of emerging technology pipelines aligned with strategic growth.
• Lead proposal efforts, creating AI/ML solutions within the CDAO's fast-paced environment.
• Cultivate relationships with stakeholders, addressing their specific challenges and barriers.
• Guarantee ethical, transparent, and compliant AI solutions in accordance with legal standards.
• Remain abreast of AI/ML technological trends and competitive insights.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of an active TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Possess a minimum of five years of experience with full lifecycle and secure and automated development of data management, data analytics, or Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML).

Nice-to-haves

• Master's or doctoral degree in a related technical discipline.
• Experience with data visualization packages in Python or similar programming languages.
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised deep learning algorithms like Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN), Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) and advanced deep learning packages such as TensorFlow, Keras, Pytorch, Caffe, and Theano.
• Experience with large cloud-computing infrastructure solutions similar to AWS, MS Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience utilizing Agile development methodologies and Application Lifecycle Management.
• Experience working with programming languages such as Java, C++, JSON, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, Pig/Hive, and/or Elixir.
• Strong publication record.
