About the position

The Chief Data Architect is a pivotal role responsible for defining a comprehensive Big Data implementation framework that aligns with mission needs. This position involves translating these needs into specific requirements for Big Data systems, analytics, and visualization tools. The Chief Data Architect will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to design and guide engineering solutions, enabling the exploration, examination, and visualization of data to extract valuable knowledge and insights from extensive and complex digital data collections. The role encompasses managing digital data sourced from various providers, which includes a mix of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data types. The data handled is characterized by its enormous volume, varying velocity—from periodic static documents to real-time data feeds—and rapid growth. In addition to the above responsibilities, the Chief Data Architect will lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and utilization of advanced analytic and data science tools. This includes data visualization, link analysis, correlation, sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning, and statistical methods, all aimed at preparing data for predictive and prescriptive modeling. The position requires a strong understanding of the technical landscape and the ability to innovate and adapt to the fast-paced technological environment, particularly in support of federal government customers. TekSynap, the hiring company, is a rapidly growing high-tech firm that emphasizes the importance of a well-planned information management environment.
