The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) plays a pivotal role in leading the organization towards achieving its mission of being the gold standard provider of professional certification for surgical technologists and surgical first assistants. In this role, the CEO will provide governance and leadership by working closely with the Board to communicate the strategic vision of the organization. They will facilitate the strategic planning process, advise on policy formulation, and regularly update the Board on organizational progress and challenges. The CEO will foster a culture of continuous learning, inclusivity, and collaboration, while also managing complex relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The CEO will also take charge of administrative and staff management, ensuring that the NBSTSA staff is motivated and rewarded for their contributions. They will attract and retain a diverse and high-performing team, empowering staff to achieve organizational goals. Strategic leadership will be a key focus, as the CEO will work to advance NBSTSA's reputation as a leader in certification, while also developing a robust digital strategy to enhance the organization's presence and user experience.
