About the position

The Chief Financial and Operations Officer (CFOO) at St. Mary's Episcopal Day School is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the school's finances, facilities, and business operations. This position plays a crucial part in fulfilling the school's mission of inspiring curiosity, kindness, and dignity within a caring Christian community. The CFOO collaborates closely with the Head of School and the Board of Trustees, engaging with various external stakeholders to ensure the financial health and operational efficiency of the school.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the school's financial management and reporting.
• Manage facilities and business operations of the school.
• Collaborate with the Head of School and Board of Trustees on strategic initiatives.
• Engage with external stakeholders including bankers, accountants, and donors.
• Support fundraising efforts and capital campaigns through collaboration with the Parents' Association.

Requirements

• Proven experience in financial management and operations, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders.
