The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a pivotal role within the organization, responsible for overseeing the administrative, financial, and information technology operations of the company. This position is crucial for the development of metrics that align with the company's strategic goals and for the ongoing monitoring of control systems that safeguard company assets while ensuring accurate financial reporting. The CFO is expected to cultivate trust and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with internal teams, lending institutions, shareholders, and the broader financial community. This role involves directing treasury functions, budgeting, audit, tax, and accounting activities, while providing strategic financial leadership and insights to the management team. In collaboration with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, the CFO will establish a strategic vision aimed at fostering company growth and sustained profitability. This includes directing and evaluating the financial programs and supporting information systems, which encompass internal controls, budgeting, tax planning, and asset conservation. The CFO will also be responsible for developing and maintaining performance measures that support the company's strategic direction and for overseeing the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses, including the annual financial statement audit. The role requires the CFO to manage capital requests and budgeting processes, provide ownership of treasury functions focusing on working capital management, cash flow, cost controls, and expenses, and interact with other managers to support planning initiatives through financial analyses and recommendations. Additionally, the CFO will prepare presentations for parent company executives and the Board, oversee process improvements, and participate in retirement plan fiduciary oversight. The position also involves studying long-range economic trends to identify future opportunities and growth, enhancing internal control policies, and managing annual insurance renewals. The CFO will also be tasked with special projects as assigned and will ensure that systems and policies are in place to maximize capital investment and human asset value within the organization.
