About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial functions of the Bank. This position involves supporting the Board of Directors in corporate financial management, reviewing investment portfolios, facilitating management meetings, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The CFO will implement strategies to enhance profitability and efficiency while maintaining accurate financial reporting to support business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Board of Directors on Corporate Financial Management including topics of dividend policy, capital structure, corporate governance, and strategic initiatives.
  • Reviews the Bank's investment portfolio and makes buy/hold/sell recommendations to the CEO.
  • Facilitates Management level ALCO and Board level Finance Committee meetings, reporting on financial metrics and recommending actions to address financial risks.
  • Creates and maintains the annual budget, reporting financial performance to the Board of Directors.
  • Seeks and implements continuous efficiencies through technology and automation.
  • Conducts quantitative data analysis and financial modeling related to branch profitability and loan portfolio parameters.
  • Identifies, measures, monitors, and controls the model for ACL estimation and CECL calculation.
  • Oversees the bank's corporate credit card relationship and policies related to Accounting & Finance functions.
  • Manages the Bank's accounts payable process and wire funds transfers.
  • Manages critical relationships pertaining to Accounting and Finance for the Bank.
  • Completes continuing education to stay updated on regulations and best practices.
  • Ensures compliance with BSA and OFAC requirements.
  • Promotes an environment that supports diversity and upholds CCB's core values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with CPA and/or MBA.
  • Ten-plus years working in a financial leadership capacity in a financial institution or independent mortgage banker.
  • Proven sustained success in previous high-level management and leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success in discerning market forces and developing profitable business strategies.
  • Proven expertise in banking regulations and related banking operations.
  • Successful experience managing corporate governance matters and communicating with boards of directors and shareholders.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset with strong organizational and leadership skills.
