About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial functions of the Bank. This position involves supporting the Board of Directors in corporate financial management, reviewing investment portfolios, facilitating management and board meetings, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The CFO will implement strategies to enhance profitability and efficiency while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Board of Directors on Corporate Financial Management including dividend policy, capital structure, corporate governance, and strategic initiatives.
  • Reviews the Bank's investment portfolio and makes buy/hold/sell recommendations to the CEO.
  • Facilitates Management level ALCO and Board level Finance Committee meetings, reporting on interest rate risk, liquidity, and financial metrics.
  • Creates and maintains the annual budget, reporting financial performance to the Board of Directors.
  • Seeks and implements efficiencies through technology and automation.
  • Conducts quantitative data analysis and financial modeling for branch profitability and loan portfolio parameters.
  • Identifies, measures, monitors, and controls the model for ACL estimation and CECL calculation.
  • Oversees the bank's corporate credit card relationship and policies related to Accounting & Finance functions.
  • Manages the Bank's accounts payable process and wire funds transfers.
  • Manages the bank's BOLI portfolio and critical relationships in Accounting and Finance.
  • Completes continuing education to stay updated on regulations and best practices.
  • Ensures compliance with BSA and OFAC requirements.
  • Promotes an environment that supports diversity and upholds CCB's core values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with CPA and/or MBA.
  • Ten-plus years of experience in a financial leadership role within a financial institution or independent mortgage banker.
  • Proven success in high-level management and leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to discern market forces and develop profitable business strategies.
  • Expertise in banking regulations and operations, balancing efficiency with regulatory expectations.
  • Experience managing corporate governance matters and communicating with boards of directors and shareholders.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
