About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Community Bank & Trust is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the Holding Company and its subsidiaries. This role involves advising the Board of Directors on financial planning, capital requirements, and profitability while also acting as the Chief Risk Officer. The CFO will drive innovation and change within a rapidly growing organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and modernizing financial systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all financial affairs of the Holding Company and subsidiaries.
  • Advise the Board of Directors on long-range financial planning and capital requirements.
  • Drive change and innovation within the organization.
  • Lead efforts to modernize accounting systems and processes, including the implementation of Sage Intacct.
  • Work with executive management to ensure compliance with regulatory and accounting guidelines.
  • Initiate the implementation of comprehensive KRI and KPI dashboards for Risk Management.
  • Spearhead the modernization of CECL and Stress Test modeling methodologies.
  • Manage the ongoing forecast process to inform the Board and executive management of capital needs.
  • Provide guidance to subsidiary accounting groups on various financial matters.
  • Manage the process to acquire lines of credit for the Holding Company and subsidiaries.
  • Oversee the annual budget and forecast processes.

Requirements

  • College degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of broad banking experience relating to bank operations and branch administration.
  • High ability to analyze and communicate complex accounting and finance concepts.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and banking software programs.
