About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead all financial and IT activities of Farm & Home Supply, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and driving profitability. This role involves overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, treasury management, and IT management, while collaborating with executive leadership to meet organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Executing the financial strategy of Farm & Home Supply.
  • Directing the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
  • Comparing sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; making or overseeing necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
  • Reviewing budget planning process and suggesting improvements to current methods.
  • Analyzing accounting operations to identify areas in need of process improvement or reorganization.
  • Working with the President, CEO, and Leadership Team to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the financial budgeting and planning process.
  • Studying long-range economic trends and projecting their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
  • Monitoring ongoing financial trends, variances to prior year and projected budget, and communicating to Executive Leadership as needed.
  • Identifying opportunities for expansion into new product areas.
  • Overseeing and identifying investment opportunities and investment of funds.
  • Performing other related duties as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
  • Eight to ten years of experience in financial management required.
  • Retail finance experience preferred.
  • Possess World-Class Leadership skills.
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
