About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Newark Community HealthCenters, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the organization's financial planning and accounting practices. This role involves managing relationships with lending institutions, funding sources, shareholders, and the financial community, ensuring accurate record-keeping, budgeting, and financial reporting. The CFO will lead the Billing and Finance Department and play a crucial role in guiding the fiscal department to align with the organization's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the organization's financial planning and accounting practices.
• Manage relationships with lending institutions, funding sources, shareholders, and the financial community.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Lead the Billing and Finance Department.
• Develop financial policies and procedures.
• Mentor and develop finance staff.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred.
• Progressive experience in financial management, preferably within the healthcare or nonprofit sector.
• Proven track record of strategic financial planning, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Experience managing a finance team and developing financial policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with federal and state healthcare regulations, funding sources, and grant management.
• Strong understanding of financial software and reporting systems.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and developing finance staff.
