About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Bridge Counseling Associates (BCA) is responsible for overseeing all financial management activities, ensuring compliance with accounting guidelines, and collaborating with the CEO and program directors on budget development. This role involves training and supervising finance and billing staff, providing financial reports to the Board of Directors, and working with community partners and funders to enhance business collaborations.

Responsibilities

  • Performs/oversees all daily financial management activities.
  • Works in conjunction with CEO/President and other program directors of agency in budget development and budget revisions for agency grants and programs.
  • Train, supervise and be accountable for all finance and billing staff members.
  • Work collaboratively with agency funders, potential funding sources, and community partners in future business collaborations, current funded programs, and evaluation/assessment of programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal accounting guidelines, ensure timeliness of all necessary audits, filing requirements for governmental entities, and compliance with General Accounting Practices (GAP) standards.
  • Perform other duties of financial administration or program analysis as requested by the CEO/President.
  • Provide monthly reports to the Board of Directors and funding sources as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or finance with relevant 10 years post college experience.
  • Certified Public Accounting license preferred.
  • Ability to perform all accounting duties for grant management, budget development and accrual reporting, accounts receivable, consolidated accounting tasks and proficiency in computer accounting programs.
  • Experience and knowledge in supervision of accounting/billing department staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or equivalent preferred, as well as working knowledge of grant management and reporting.
