About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Cheshire Medical Center, part of Dartmouth Health, is a pivotal role that encompasses the overall financial management of the hospital. The CFO will be an innovative leader who collaborates closely with other Dartmouth Health system leaders to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organization. In this role, the CFO will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategic plans and goals. This includes financial forecasting, analysis, and providing decision-making support related to business performance measurements. The CFO will analyze performance against operating budgets and present comprehensive financial results to guide future decisions. A critical aspect of this role is ensuring compliance with government regulations and adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and industry standards. The CFO will continuously monitor and mitigate financial risks, ensuring that the hospital operates within its financial means while pursuing its strategic objectives. The CFO will also play a key role in fostering teamwork, partnership, and collaboration among management and staff at all levels. This includes working effectively with external contractors and subcontractors to ensure that all financial operations align with the hospital's mission and goals. Given the high-visibility nature of this position, the CFO must be adept at managing change and implementing new strategies that will drive the hospital's financial success.

Responsibilities
