About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Eversight is a key executive role responsible for overseeing financial strategy and operations, accounting practices, and facilities management. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to achieve both short and long-term strategic goals. This position requires a hands-on approach to financial management, team leadership, and the implementation of operational systems that align with the organization's mission to restore sight and prevent blindness.

Responsibilities

  • Translate vision and values into daily practices and ensure adherence to mission and operational systems.
  • Promote priorities and drive implementation of the strategic plan.
  • Instill accountability at all levels of the organization.
  • Manage daily accounting practices and provide oversight to the accounting team.
  • Serve as a financial strategist, aligning financial and business strategies with management policy.
  • Execute the budgeting process to achieve financial targets and prepare monthly metrics for review.
  • Provide reports and analyses to the CEO and Board Finance & Audit Committees regarding progress against goals.
  • Interface with external CPA on annual audits and best practices for accounting oversight.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of all external reports, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Review and assess financial implications of all organizational contracts.
  • Oversee employee reward functions, including payroll and benefits compliance.
  • Create and oversee facilities planning, including maintenance and capital plans.
  • Evaluate and manage vendor relationships for optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a relevant field of study.
  • 5-7 years of progressively responsible leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of success leading diverse teams.
  • Significant experience in leadership positions managing operations and diverse team members.
  • High level of Emotional Intelligence with a track record of influencing and collaborating effectively.
  • Proven ability to partner with CEO and executive leadership to foster innovation and drive goal attainment.
  • Impeccable written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate vision and goals effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a relevant field of study.
  • Experience in a Health Care or health-related organization.
