About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the financial strategy and operations for Hazera, overseeing a team of 6 to 8 direct reports and 50 indirect reports across multiple locations including Israel and the Netherlands. This role involves implementing the strategic direction of the Limagrain Vegetable Seeds division, acting as a strategic advisor to the leadership team, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and planning. The CFO will also be responsible for developing long-term financial strategies, maintaining cash flow projections, and supporting the deployment of advanced IT tools.

Responsibilities

• Implement the strategic direction of the Limagrain Vegetable Seeds (LVS) division and Hazera in their financial aspects and organization.
• Lead the consolidation of financial data for budget, forecast, and Mid-Term Plan (MTP) processes.
• Act as a strategic advisor to the BU CEO, leadership team, and board of directors on financial and strategic issues.
• Provide accurate financial reporting and relevant financial indicators for BU and Limagrain Group level.
• Develop and oversee strategic long-term planning, cost controls, KPIs, objectives, goals, and policies for Hazera.
• Maintain and enhance a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism.
• Perform all financial activities according to established Limagrain guidelines (IFRS, GAAP).
• Ensure relationships with banks within the framework of Group agreements and delegation of authorities.
• Support the deployment of IT tools such as ERP, BI, EPM, and IA.
• Lead the Finance team, mentoring and developing key financial counterparts within the organization.
• Own recruitment, development, and overall management of Finance employees.
• Motivate a strong financial team through trust and mentorship.
• Collaborate and manage hands-on to enhance capabilities and drive organizational excellence.
• Contribute to the Financial strategy of LVS as a member of Hazera's Strategic Leadership Team.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably as a CFO or similar position.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards (IFRS, GAAP).
• Experience in strategic financial planning and analysis.
• Ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the agricultural or seed industry.
• Familiarity with advanced IT tools such as Business Intelligence (BI) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM).
• Multilingual capabilities, especially in Dutch and Hebrew.
