About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Pinkerton is responsible for overseeing the company's global accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial policies, and safeguarding company assets. This leadership role involves managing all accounting operations, including financial reporting, internal controls, and policy development, while guiding the accounting team to enhance internal processes for improved efficiency. The position requires strategic oversight and collaboration with various stakeholders to drive financial performance and support the company's strategic direction.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the company's global accounting and finance functions.
  • Implement and maintain a system of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the Global Executive leadership team.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and implement recommendations from audit findings.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor accounting policies and procedures.
  • Provide counsel on accounting-related issues and disclosure obligations.
  • Collaborate with leadership to analyze financial and operating data.
  • Oversee the preparation of regulatory reports and filings.
  • Manage treasury functions including cash management and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Lead accounting process improvements and change initiatives.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and support for acquisitions/dispositions.
  • Advise management on potential risks and enhance financial performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10-15 years of finance/accounting experience in a global organization.
  • CPA/CMA certification is a plus.
  • Advanced accounting skills with a strong technical background.
  • Expertise in GAAP, IFRS, and tax matters.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics/D365 ERP system preferred.
  • Ability to lead and direct a high-performing team.
  • Solid verbal, written, and presentation skills.
