About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, overseeing all financial functions of the business. This newly created role focuses on guiding decision-making, monitoring cash flow, protecting profitability, and assessing the company's financial position against growth objectives. The CFO will lead high-performing Finance and Accounting teams, ensuring accurate and timely reporting while identifying market trends and preparing for emerging opportunities and challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Advise senior and operational management on financial priorities, policies, and initiatives.
  • Develop and direct financial plans from the strategic business plan to enable continued growth.
  • Maintain executive responsibility for financial operations, including working capital, capital expenditures, debt levels, taxes, budget, and general accounting.
  • Manage finance and banking, insurance, and shareholder equity relationships.
  • Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, consolidations, planning, and analysis.
  • Ensure reporting tools are in place to monitor results and enhance efficiencies.
  • Establish and maintain stable cash flow management policies and procedures.
  • Set up and oversee all financial and operational controls, internal audit processes, and performance metrics.
  • Play a lead role in expansion activities, including investments, corporate alliances, and acquisitions.
  • Prepare, review, and file financial reports to ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC, IRS, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, develop, mentor, and train the existing team.
  • Hire and develop additional qualified financial professionals.
  • Work closely with production leaders to optimize operational efficiencies.

Requirements

  • BS in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 20+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles.
  • Experience in manufacturing preferred, ideally in custom build settings.
  • Demonstrated success as an operational vs. accounting CFO.
  • Knowledge of and experience in treasury requirements.
  • Proficiency in cash and tax management.
  • Experience working with private equity-backed businesses preferred.
  • Successful history in managing banking relationships and risk management.
  • Experience with EOS preferred.
