About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and future of a leading logistics company. This position involves overseeing financial planning, investment strategies, and compliance, while also managing a team of finance professionals. The CFO will be instrumental in driving profitability and ensuring sustainable growth through effective financial management and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the company's financial planning and decision-making processes.
  • Develop and execute investment strategies, focusing on cash flow and liquidity management.
  • Oversee fundraising efforts and manage the capital structure to ensure sustainable growth.
  • Supervise finance personnel, including controllers and treasurers, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver accurate financial forecasts and reports to guide executive decisions.
  • Implement and oversee financial IT systems to support operational efficiency.
  • Ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory financial requirements.
  • Manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, and financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in senior financial leadership, ideally within the transportation or logistics sector.
  • Expertise in financial laws, risk management, and strategic investment planning.
  • Strong analytical skills and a history of using data-driven insights to drive business success.
  • Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate teams and foster collaboration.
  • Superior communication skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization and external partners.
  • Strategic thinker with a keen eye for profitability, liquidity, and long-term company value.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA or CFA are preferred.
  • Industry experience in transportation or logistics is REQUIRED.
  • At least 10 years of experience in financial roles, with 5 years in a financial leadership capacity.
