About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of a leading logistics company. This position involves overseeing financial planning, investment strategies, and compliance, while also managing finance personnel and fostering relationships with stakeholders. The CFO will be instrumental in driving profitability and ensuring sustainable growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the company's financial planning and decision-making processes.
  • Develop and execute investment strategies, focusing on cash flow and liquidity management.
  • Oversee fundraising efforts and manage the capital structure to ensure sustainable growth.
  • Supervise finance personnel, including controllers and treasurers, while fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver accurate financial forecasts and reports to guide executive decisions.
  • Implement and oversee financial IT systems to support operational efficiency.
  • Ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory financial requirements.
  • Manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, and financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in senior financial leadership, ideally within the transportation or logistics sector.
  • Expertise in financial laws, risk management, and strategic investment planning.
  • Strong analytical skills and a history of using data-driven insights to drive business success.
  • Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate teams and foster collaboration.
  • Superior communication skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization and external partners.
  • Strategic thinker with a keen eye for profitability, liquidity, and long-term company value.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA or CFA are preferred.
  • Industry experience in transportation or logistics is REQUIRED.
  • At least 10 years of experience in financial roles, with 5 years in a financial leadership capacity.
