About the position

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who is fluent in Mandarin to join our executive team at a leading public company specializing in NAND flash controllers for solid-state drives (SSDs). This position is based in Milpitas, California, with extensive travel required to our headquarters in Taiwan. The CFO will report directly to the CEO and will work closely with other executives to oversee all financial functions of the company. This includes driving financial and tax planning, managing investor relationships, exploring mergers and acquisitions (M&A) opportunities, and providing strategic guidance to support the company's growth objectives. The CFO will be responsible for developing and overseeing financial planning processes, providing insightful analysis of financial performance and key metrics to drive decision-making, and monitoring financial KPIs and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and mitigate risks. In collaboration with the executive team, the CFO will develop and execute strategic initiatives aligned with the company's goals and objectives, providing strategic financial guidance and recommendations to support business expansion, product development, and market penetration efforts. As the primary contact for investors, analysts, and other stakeholders, the CFO will represent the company's financial performance and growth prospects. This role involves cultivating and maintaining relationships with Wall Street investors, including analysts, institutional investors, and investment banks, to enhance the company's visibility and attractiveness to the investment community. The CFO will also ensure compliance with SEC regulations, including reporting requirements, disclosure obligations, and corporate governance standards, while coordinating with legal and regulatory teams to address any compliance issues. Additionally, the CFO will identify and evaluate potential M&A opportunities to support strategic growth objectives and enhance shareholder value. This includes developing detailed financial models and performing scenario analysis to evaluate the financial impact of proposed M&A transactions, providing insightful information and recommendations to the executive team and board of directors to support decision-making regarding M&A transactions.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or similar.
  • 15+ years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in the semiconductor or technology industry.
  • Familiarity with NASDAQ stock market operations and SEC regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Wall Street investor ecosystem, including analysts and institutional investors.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis, strategic financial management, and M&A processes.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
