About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Vice President of Administrative Services at Temple College is responsible for overseeing the financial and administrative functions of the institution. This role includes managing financial policies, general accounting, contracts, and funding operations, while also providing leadership for support services such as facilities management and human resources. The CFO plays a critical role in institutional planning and policy development, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and alignment with the College's mission and strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and carry out duties consistent with the College's Value Statements.
  • Establish financial policies and transactional standards in compliance with regulations and accounting standards.
  • Review and analyze major contractual obligations to ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • Provide leadership and direction to departments reporting to this position.
  • Direct activities related to the security and investment of the College's assets and funds.
  • Participate in institutional planning, policy development, and problem resolution with the President and other administrators.
  • Manage the College's Physical Plant and facilities planning to align with strategic goals.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of a comprehensive Master Plan for institutional facilities and assets.
  • Provide oversight of outsourced services including student housing and security.
  • Oversee preparation of business plans and College budget documents.
  • Establish and maintain an organizational structure to achieve goals and objectives, overseeing recruitment and training of staff.
  • Initiate contacts and maintain relationships with external organizations and educational institutions.
  • Promote grant applications for funding of programs.
  • Oversee the development and evaluation of staff.
  • Administer support services including facilities planning, human resources, and safety procedures.
  • Assume other job-related duties as assigned by the President.

Requirements

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Bachelor's degree with a current Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
  • Seven (7) years of directly related full-time experience in business, finance, administrative, or accounting roles.
