About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide financial leadership in a Health Care setting, overseeing all financial activities of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, budgeting, strategizing, maintaining, and forecasting all financial activities. This role includes leading the finance staff, which consists of the Controller, Financial Manager, and Revenue Cycle Manager, to achieve the financial goals of the organization. The CFO will also be responsible for audits, financial reporting requirements, and compliance requirements, while developing positive relationships with the CEO, Finance Committee, Board of Directors, external auditors, and payor sources.

Responsibilities

  • Lead finance staff in setting and achieving the financial goals of the organization.
  • Manage the Controller, Financial Manager, and Revenue Cycle Manager.
  • Oversee financial activities of the organization including planning, budgeting, strategizing, maintaining, and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with all audits and financial reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders including the CEO, Finance Committee, and Board of Directors.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in financial leadership within a Health Care setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA or CMA highly preferred.
  • Expertise in cost accounting and performance management systems.
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, strategy, forecasting, and working with state/federal/and 3rd-party payors.
  • Advanced computer and data entry skills.
