About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for providing executive-level financial leadership and oversight to support the strategic planning and execution necessary for achieving the company's growth goals and objectives. This role involves managing the company's financial, accounting, and audit functions, developing financial strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The CFO serves as a trusted resource to the executive team, communicates effectively with leadership, and plays a key role in financial planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive-level financial leadership and oversight to support strategic planning and execution.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee financial strategies, plans, and budgets.
  • Assist leadership with financial planning and decision-making.
  • Manage and oversee the company's finances, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Report and forecast revenue and expenses, reviewing financial reports and statements.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce expenditure and optimize company resources.
  • Advise and assist management with financials and financial planning based on company objectives.
  • Direct activities associated with the security and investment of the organization's assets and funds.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and external accounting entities.
  • Participate in the identification, analysis, and selection of companies for acquisition or partnership.
  • Formulate, oversee, and manage financial policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Five or more years of successful experience in a business financial leadership position.
  • High proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data-driven decision making.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, accounting, and treasury management.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience conveying complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Excellent presentation and delivery skills.

  • General understanding of information systems and/or data processing.
  • Experience comparing data needed for developing budgets and long-range goals.
