About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for directing the financial functions of the corporation, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and financial management practices. This multifaceted role involves strategic decision-making, value creation, and preservation, while providing financial guidance to the Senior Leadership Team. The CFO will oversee budgeting processes, cash flow management, and risk identification, serving as a key advisor on financial and legal matters.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's finance and accounting function and performance.
  • Participate in the development of the company's plans and programs as a strategic partner.
  • Provide timely and accurate historical financial information and analysis of financial results.
  • Drive the annual operating and capital budgeting process and improve it through education of department managers.
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
  • Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism.
  • Ensure sufficient internal controls and identify business and financial risks.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the company's bank(s).
  • Advise on financial and legal perspectives on contracts.
  • Coordinate the annual audit and tax planning with the public accounting firm.
  • Manage the personal financial affairs of the shareholder and selected family members.
  • Manage subordinate supervisors and nonsupervisory employees.

Requirements

  • National designation as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Ten to fifteen years of related experience, preferably as a CFO.
  • Strong technical skills, analytical ability, and operational focus.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
