About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Fox Rothschild LLP will oversee the firm's financial operations, contributing to its financial growth and strategic direction. This role involves close collaboration with senior management and committees to enhance financial performance, manage daily financial operations, and develop policies that align with business objectives. The CFO will also lead the finance department, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Advise Senior Management on financial implications of business activities and make recommendations to enhance financial performance.
  • Prepare special analyses/evaluations in support of major business decisions.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from Partners regarding financial, compensation, and tax matters.
  • Develop operating policies and procedures for business objectives.
  • Contribute to growth strategies and long-range planning.
  • Build and lead a strong finance department, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Prepare short- and long-term financial projections and analysis.
  • Improve financial processes and create infrastructure focusing on people, process, and systems.
  • Lead the budgeting process for the Firm.
  • Coordinate tax return filings and maintain accounting records in compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee equity partner compensation programs and reporting.
  • Provide insightful financial reporting packages for Senior Management.
  • Partner with the Chief Pricing Officer on fee arrangements and client matters.
  • Drive best practices in client billing and collections.
  • Represent the Firm at industry events and conferences.
  • Manage banking relationships and maintain a strong network of external contacts.
  • Lead special project teams and perform special projects.

Requirements

  • BS in Accounting, Finance or Business required; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • Experience as a Director of Finance, Controller, or CFO.
  • Minimum of 15 - 20 years progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • Professional services and legal industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience overseeing a multiple office environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong appreciation for procedure, process, and operational excellence.
  • Excellent presentation skills and strong executive presence.
  • Strong network of external professional contacts.
  • Ability to write accurately and succinctly.
