About the position

Trivium LifeServices is seeking a highly skilled and mission-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial and accounting functions. The CFO will oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, bank reconciliation, and payroll while serving as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is crucial for aligning financial strategies with our organizational goals. The CFO will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the financial operations are not only efficient but also strategically aligned with the overall mission of the organization. As a strategic partner, the CFO will collaborate with leadership to integrate financial strategies with organizational objectives, utilizing financial intelligence and innovative technologies. The role requires a balanced approach, maintaining a balance between traditional accounting duties and strategic roles to support our commitment to growth and excellence. The CFO will also act as a steward, managing risk and safeguarding assets through robust financial controls and compliance measures within our multi-state operations. In addition, the CFO will streamline accounting processes, leverage emerging technologies, and implement best practices for a not-for-profit healthcare company. This includes aligning financial goals with organizational strategies, supporting merger and acquisition evaluations, and providing financial forecasting for sound decision-making. The CFO will monitor performance against key financial benchmarks and provide actionable insights to ensure alignment with our mission and strategic objectives. Furthermore, the role involves fostering innovation and productivity within the finance and accounting team through training, staff development, and strategic recruitment. The CFO will also provide comprehensive financial updates to senior leadership, ensure timely reporting, and address audit issues promptly, while leading the annual budget process in collaboration with various departments to produce accurate and timely budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
  • At least ten years of progressive experience in professional accounting, focusing on strategic thinking and execution.
  • Comprehensive understanding of banking processes, financial data analysis, and compliance within a complex not-for-profit healthcare setting.
  • Experience with process and software transformation projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in business (MBA), accounting, or finance.
  • Professional certification such as CPA or CA.
  • Proven skills in communication, financial planning, billing, accounting technology, and data governance within the healthcare sector.
