About the position

The position oversees all financial management aspects of Gleaners Food Bank, including accounting, treasury management, financial reporting, payroll, audits, financial analysis, and compliance with regulations. The role is responsible for managing the annual budget, ensuring financial performance aligns with organizational goals, and providing consultative support to leadership through financial analysis and reporting. Additionally, the position involves overseeing information technology strategy, risk management, and personnel management, ensuring a positive work environment and effective team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of financial management including transactional accounting, treasury management, and financial reporting.
• Prepare, manage, and monitor Gleaner's annual fiscal budget and processes to meet strategic goals.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and Feeding America guidelines.
• Interact with CEO, SLT, and Board Treasurer to provide consultative support for planning initiatives.
• Develop and monitor fundraising and accounting systems for donations and revenue transactions.
• Utilize predictive financial models to provide critical financial information to leadership.
• Oversee information technology strategy and vendor relationships.
• Assess and mitigate business risks and ensure business continuity programs are in place.
• Provide supervision, coaching, and training for direct reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in applicable field.
• MBA and/or CPA preferred.
• Experience in high-level accounting, finance, or business management with supervisory experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in nonprofit financial management.
• Familiarity with food bank operations and fundraising strategies.
