The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Enterprise Community Partners is a pivotal executive role that reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and serves as a key member of the Operating Committee. The CFO is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization, which manages over $19 billion in Assets Under Management (AUM) and generates an annual revenue of $515 million. This position entails a comprehensive range of responsibilities, including financial planning and analysis, liquidity and cash management, and accounting across the organization. The CFO acts as a strategic partner and advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and guidance on financial matters that impact the organization’s strategic direction. In addition to managing a 75-person finance team through six direct reports, the CFO is tasked with ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls. They will lead the organization’s financial risk management strategies, working closely with various departments to mitigate risks associated with financial reporting and compliance. The CFO will also represent the organization in discussions with external auditors and tax firms, ensuring that all financial practices align with industry standards and regulations. The role requires a mature leader with extensive experience in financial management, particularly within the nonprofit sector. The CFO will be involved in all aspects of the organization’s operations, including corporate finance transactions, regulatory compliance, and cybersecurity. They will also play a crucial role in fostering a culture of integrity and compliance throughout the organization, while supporting the mission of Enterprise to create affordable housing and community development opportunities. The CFO will collaborate with various teams, including the Chief Human Resources Officer and the Chief Legal Officer, to analyze costs associated with employee benefits and ensure that corporate governance is maintained.
