About the position

Aphios Corporation is seeking to hire a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the company from a financial perspective as it prepares for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) planned for 2021. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the CEO and Controller, engaging in all aspects of the company's fiscal matters. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in a healthcare company that has successfully raised significant institutional capital and completed an IPO. This position will initially be part-time but is expected to transition into a full-time role as you successfully execute your responsibilities. Your primary responsibilities will encompass a wide range of financial activities, including strategy development, financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, capital raising, policy formulation, investor relations, cash management, and overall financial management. Additionally, you will oversee the finance and accounting team, ensuring that administrative and operational functions align with the company's financial goals. Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial strategy and planning for the company as it prepares for an IPO.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Controller on all fiscal matters.
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Manage capital raising efforts from private, crossover, and public institutional investors.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
  • Maintain investor relations and manage communications with stakeholders.
  • Oversee cash management and financial operations.
  • Lead the finance and accounting team, ensuring effective management and delegation of responsibilities.
  • Work with independent auditors to ensure compliance and transparency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • MBA or CPA is preferred.
  • At least ten years of demonstrated experience in a senior management position.
  • Experience in raising capital from private, crossover, and public institutional investors.
  • Strong financial and accounting background.
  • Experience with corporate governance and public accounting.
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience with budget management.
  • Ability to understand new issues quickly and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to inspire confidence and create trust among stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and effectively plan personnel workload.
