About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at GoNorth Travel, LLC is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company. This position involves managing cash flow, investments, budgeting, and financial reporting, while also contributing to the strategic growth of the organization. The CFO will work closely with senior management to ensure effective communication and fiscal management across the company.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting and internal-control activities.
• Develop and implement best practices for fiscal management and project coordination.
• Process payroll and file related information returns for employees in multiple jurisdictions.
• Prepare and file rental tax returns and GST tax returns for operations in Alaska, Washington, and Canada.
• Manage all insurance aspects related to business properties and rental fleet.
• Research revenue opportunities and analyze internal operations for cost reduction.
• Manage HR operations in coordination with internal staff.
• Monitor business performance and prepare detailed reports for management.
• Oversee finance personnel and ensure compliance with financial IT systems.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in related fields.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, proficient in MS applications.
• Profound bookkeeping skills, particularly in QuickBooks Desktop.
• Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
• Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record.
