About the position

Our client is an IT consulting firm that specializes in the Financial Services marketplace, focusing on areas such as Payments, Mortgages & Lending, and Capital Markets, which includes Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Real Estate, and Wealth & Asset Management. With a workforce of over 2,000 employees globally, they are currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead their operations based in Portland, Oregon. This position is critical as it will oversee the financial health of the organization and drive strategic financial initiatives to support the company's growth and operational efficiency. The CFO will be responsible for developing and executing financial strategies that align with the company's goals, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing leadership to the finance team. This role requires a strong financial acumen and a deep understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as experience in leading mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions, including due diligence, valuation, and integration. Additionally, the CFO will play a key role in managing comprehensive Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transitions, which includes planning, implementation, and optimization phases. Familiarity with ERP systems such as Netsuite, SAP, and Oracle is essential. The successful candidate will also have experience working in a rapidly scaling company with revenues of $60 million and above, demonstrating a strategic mindset and a focus on driving financial performance and creating shareholder value. Strong leadership and team-building skills are crucial, as the CFO will need to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company's goals.
  • Oversee the financial health of the organization and drive strategic financial initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience (15+ years) in a senior finance leadership role, as a CFO or VP of Finance, within the technology consulting and IT services industry.
  • Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience leading M&A transactions, including due diligence, valuation, and integration.
  • Experience working with foreign currencies and multiple time zones.
  • Experience in Comprehensive ERP Transition, including planning, implementation, and optimization phases.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Netsuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.
  • Experience working for a rapidly scaling company with revenues of $60 million and up.
