About the position

Otter Products is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its Executive Leadership team in Fort Collins, CO. The CFO will serve as a proactive and valued business partner to the CEO, the Executive Leadership Team, and the Board of Directors. This role is critical in leading the accounting, finance, and tax functions of the company, with a strong emphasis on leveraging technology to enhance efficiencies in financial processes, procedures, and reporting. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth and operational objectives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in financial management, including strong capabilities in accounting, tax, treasury, bank relations, reporting, and risk management. This position requires a leader who can effectively communicate financial insights and strategies to non-financial stakeholders, ensuring that financial considerations are integrated into the company's overall strategic planning. The CFO will also be tasked with developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the company's goals, managing financial risks, and optimizing the capital structure to support business operations. In addition to leading the finance team, the CFO will play a key role in fostering a culture of financial accountability and transparency within the organization. This includes mentoring and developing finance staff, driving continuous improvement in financial processes, and ensuring that the finance function operates efficiently and effectively. The CFO will also be responsible for preparing and presenting financial reports to the Board of Directors and other stakeholders, ensuring that they are informed of the company's financial performance and strategic direction.

Responsibilities
