About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at South Suburban College is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the institution. This role involves acting as the custodian of the College's funds, advising the President and the Board on financial matters, and seeking additional revenue sources. The CFO also manages the Treasurer's Office and the Business and Accounting Services department, ensuring compliance with laws and accounting principles while safeguarding the College's assets.

Responsibilities

• Act as custodian of the College's funds.
• Serve as financial advisor to the President and the Board.
• Seek additional revenue sources for the College.
• Protect the assets of the College.
• Keep the Vice President and President informed of the institution's financial condition.
• Manage and direct the activities of the Treasurer's Office.
• Oversee the department of Business and Accounting Services.
• Monitor financial information and review contracts.
• Act as a resource for College personnel in financial and budgetary matters.

Requirements

• Proven experience in financial management and accounting principles.
