About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the financial strategy of the organization, ensuring financial stability and operational excellence. This executive role involves overseeing accounting systems, establishing financial controls, and participating in strategic decision-making to drive growth.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective financial systems, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance.
• Lead capital planning initiatives, assessing and forecasting financial requirements to support the company's long-term goals.
• Direct internal and external reporting processes, and communicate critical financial insights to the Board of Directors and other stakeholders.
• Develop the annual budget, monitor performance, and provide insights on budget adherence to align with organizational goals.
• Participate in strategic decision-making, evaluate the capital impact of new initiatives, and assess both interest rate and liquidity risks.
• Serve as the liaison with auditors and regulatory bodies, ensuring that all financial operations align with legal requirements and industry standards.
• Oversee liquidity management, contingency planning, and enterprise risk management programs.
• Assess third-party risks, maintain vendor relationships, and manage a robust vendor management program.
• Oversee shareholder relations, coordinate with the registrar, and ensure transparency and effective communication.
• Bring confidence, positivity, and a results-driven attitude to each interaction within the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in a Chief Financial Officer or similar role within a translatable industry.
• Exceptional knowledge of financial regulations, capital planning, risk management, and budget development.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
