About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Troy ISD is responsible for overseeing all financial and business affairs of the district. This role involves providing leadership for the district's financial services, ensuring effective management practices, and serving as the chief financial advisor to the superintendent and board of trustees. The CFO will also oversee the management and investment of district funds and support human resources areas.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial and business affairs of the district.
• Provide leadership for the district's financial services activity.
• Ensure legally sound and effective management practices.
• Direct and monitor the management and investment of all district funds.
• Serve as chief financial advisor and budget advisor to the superintendent and board of trustees.
• Support human resources areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field.
• Two years experience in school finance or district business administration.
• Two years experience with supervisory responsibility in finance or accounting.
