About the position

We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial leadership and a proven track record of managing accounting functions, raising capital, and working closely with executive leadership and the Board of Directors. This role requires a strategic thinker who can wear many hats, provide hands-on leadership, and navigate the complexities of a manufacturing environment. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of the organization and ensuring the financial health of the company. This position is based in Centennial, CO, and offers a hybrid remote work option, allowing for flexibility while maintaining close collaboration with the team. As the CFO, you will lead and oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis. You will manage and mentor an accounting team of four, developing their skills and ensuring high performance. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability objectives, working closely with the CEO, executive team, and Board of Directors to provide strategic financial guidance and insights. You will oversee the company’s financial planning processes, including cash flow management, capital allocation, and financial performance analysis, while managing relationships with external stakeholders such as investors, banks, auditors, and other financial institutions. In addition, you will drive the capital raising process, including debt and equity financing, to support business expansion and operational needs. You will oversee purchasing functions and work closely with the manufacturing facility to optimize cost structures and operational efficiencies. Developing and maintaining strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with all financial regulations will also be a key part of your role. As a member of the executive management team, you will participate in key decisions, contributing to the overall strategy and direction of the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • CPA or CFA designation is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proven experience in managing a finance team and driving strategic financial initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a Board of Directors and senior leadership team.
  • Strong background in capital raising, including experience with both debt and equity financing.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Hands-on approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
