As a member of Coverys' executive leadership team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the Global finance function supporting Coverys' growing business. The CFO will provide strategic and tactical support to the CEO and senior leadership team and drive the organization's financial results. This position will be responsible for the financial well-being of the operation, including strategy, analysis, reporting, financial controls, budgeting, resource allocation, and compliance. The CFO will operate as a strategic business partner to Coverys' CEO and leadership team, working alongside them to grow and evolve the business, both organically and prescriptively. This includes establishing and maintaining operational and financial controls and internal safeguards for the assets of the organization. The CFO will oversee the organization's enterprise actuarial reserving function and the strategic budgeting process, aligning current operations with future company objectives. This involves creating a long-term financial plan that integrates strategy, enterprise risk, and resource allocation to enhance and sustain the company's financial position. Additionally, the CFO will partner with the revenue-generating portions of the business to provide a strong financial perspective that operates as both a check and sounding board for potential and existing business and M&A opportunities. The role requires collaboration with members of the Coverys leadership team across the spectrum of deal activity, from initial strategy setting to the vetting of potential opportunities, through the execution of transactions, to ensure effective completion. The CFO will also develop, prepare, and ensure timely execution of an array of management information reports that advise management as to periodic results and work with management directly to optimize current business results and evaluate new initiatives. The position will lead the preparation and presentation of timely and accurate monthly financial reports to internal and external constituencies, as well as the Board of Directors and regulators. The CFO will develop and manage ongoing strategic and operating plans, including leading the annual operational budget process, collaborating with business leadership to ensure goals are met. Furthermore, the CFO will build and develop a financial team to ensure performance of the finance function, including direction of the treasury and controller roles. The role also involves partnering with the Chief Underwriting Officer to manage the company's reinsurance treaty program and with the Chief Investment Officer to manage the company investment strategy to support and grow the business. Finally, the CFO will ensure the timely and successful completion of financial and regulatory audits, reporting activities to leadership and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors to ensure compliance with Board policies, and manage the organization's corporate and professional insurance programs.
