About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Save The Michaels Of The World is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring financial sustainability and supporting the organization's mission through strategic financial management. The CFO will work closely with the leadership team to develop financial strategies and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, particularly in the context of non-profit operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the financial health of the organization.
• Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and auditing.
• Manage and optimize the organization's financial resources, including cash flow management and investment strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including non-profit financial reporting requirements.
• Prepare and present financial reports to the President / CEO and Board of Directors.
• Collaborate with other departments to support grant applications and manage grant funds.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Experience in Financial Management.
• Proven experience with Government, Foundation, Non-Profit, Humanitarian, and Capacity Building Grants.
• Strong knowledge of non-profit accounting standards and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in financial management software and tools.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
