About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Del Valle ISD is responsible for overseeing all financial and business affairs of the district. This role involves providing leadership for financial services, ensuring effective management practices, and serving as the chief financial advisor to the superintendent and board of trustees. The CFO will also manage strategic planning and implementation of various district functions including maintenance, child nutrition, warehousing, and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial and business affairs of the district.
• Provide leadership for the district's financial services activity.
• Direct and monitor the management and investment of all district funds.
• Serve as chief financial advisor and budget advisor to the superintendent and board of trustees.
• Manage strategic planning, development, evaluation, and implementation of district maintenance, child nutrition, warehousing, and transportation functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field.
• 5 years of administrative or management experience.
• 5 years of experience with supervisory responsibility in finance, accounting, and/or operations preferred.
