About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Gana-A'Yoo, Limited is a pivotal role responsible for managing the overall financial affairs of the corporation under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). As a member of the senior leadership team, the CFO plays a crucial role in developing, monitoring, and evaluating the corporate strategy with a focus on long-term performance, working capital management, passive investments, and enhancing shareholder value. This position ensures compliance with all federal and state regulations, making it essential for the economic health and growth of the organization. In this role, the CFO will oversee accounting and finance operations, financial reporting, cash management, internal controls, and statutory reporting. The CFO will also direct and oversee the financial investment portfolio to protect corporate assets, recommend investment portfolio objectives, policies, and procedures, and perform financial due diligence for potential new ventures. Additionally, the CFO will manage tax strategies, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP, FARS, and other accounting regulations. The CFO is expected to lead, develop, and manage a highly effective finance and accounting team, providing leadership and direction to ensure the accomplishment of departmental and company goals. This includes overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes, as well as presenting financial reports to the executive team and board members. The CFO will also collaborate with key stakeholders throughout the company to provide strategic financial guidance and optimize financial processes to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting and finance operations, financial reporting, cash management, internal controls, and statutory reporting.
  • Direct and oversee the financial investment portfolio to protect corporate assets and recommend investment portfolio objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform financial due diligence for potential new ventures.
  • Oversee tax management and support the development and implementation of key tax strategies.
  • Manage financial reporting, statement preparation, and maintain compliance with GAAP, FARS, and other accounting regulations.
  • Lead, develop, and manage a highly effective finance and accounting team.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Accounting and Finance team.
  • Serve as a member of the executive team.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and ensure purchasing controls are in place.
  • Provide financial due diligence for merger and acquisition activities and corporate partners.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis process.
  • Present financial reports to the executive team and board members.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and executive team.
  • Optimize financial process systems to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Manage budget preparation on an annual basis.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders throughout the Company to provide decision, business, and financial analysis in support of the Company's strategic, operational, and financial objectives.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of related experience with increasing levels of financial and accounting management.
  • Experience developing corporate and subsidiary budgets.
  • Experience with shared services cost models and establishing forward pricing.
  • Expert experience with Deltek Costpoint software and Federal contract financial requirements.
  • Familiar with Cost Accounting Standards Boards Cost Accounting Standards.
  • Familiar with internal financial reporting requirements of a multi-subsidiary, multi-division organization.
