About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Laurel Heights Hospital is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the facility, ensuring profitability, and maintaining compliance with accounting principles and corporate guidelines. This role involves monitoring accounts receivables, developing financial policies, preparing financial statements, and providing required reporting to various departments. The CFO will also prepare the annual budget and work closely with management to align financial strategies with the hospital's objectives.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and controls accounts receivables, ensuring cash collection goals are met and net revenue is accurately stated.
• Improves the profitability of the hospital by monitoring costs, payor mix, and length of stay to maximize reimbursement.
• Develops and monitors financial policies and procedures to ensure sufficient cash flow and reduced operating costs.
• Prepares monthly financial statements and analyses to accurately reflect the hospital's operating results.
• Provides required reporting and reconciliations for various departments to aid in report preparation.
• Prepares the annual budget in conjunction with UHS standards, reviewing prior financial results and discussing anticipated changes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role in a healthcare setting.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of hospital financial operations and federal/local tax regulations.
• Skilled in interpreting financial analysis and preparing reports using electronic spreadsheets.
