About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Memorial Hermann Surgical Hospital Kingwood is a key member of the senior management team, responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the hospital's financial operations. This role involves strategic and operational planning, financial management, compliance, and communication with various stakeholders, ensuring the hospital's financial health and regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and management of the hospital's financial operations.
• Participate in hospital-wide strategic and operational planning.
• Manage financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue cycle management.
• Oversee accounts payable management and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with the central billing management office team.
• Direct operational responsibilities for business office operations and patient access.
• Ensure compliance with hospital and corporate policies and regulatory procedures.
• Update and monitor internal controls for compliance.
• Communicate directly with the hospital management team, staff, physicians, and governing board.
• Supervise departments including Accounting, Business Office, Health Information Management, and Materials Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred in finance, healthcare administration, accounting, or related field.
• At least 5 years of previous experience in hospital revenue cycle management.
• Recent hospital financial management experience is required.
• Extensive knowledge of accounts payable, general ledger, and financial reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and computer skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
