The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Banner Health is responsible for leading and managing all financial activities within the organization, ensuring compliance, financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting. This role is integral to the senior leadership team, focusing on driving financial performance, operational efficiency, and fostering a service-oriented culture that prioritizes employee engagement and patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in achieving financial and operational performance objectives, including revenue growth and effective expense management.
• Evaluate and assess growth and operational initiatives, including strategic programs and service lines.
• Support performance goals by mentoring finance staff and increasing financial understanding throughout the facility.
• Guide and develop staff, promoting continuous quality improvement and company values.
• Drive process improvements to enhance clinical services and patient safety.
• Foster collaboration within a highly-matrixed team environment to enhance patient experience.
• Serve as an advisory member of facility operations, directing strategic development and implementation of services.
• Oversee financial and operational performance, compliance, and viability of the facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial operations in healthcare.
• Demonstrated leadership that aligns with the organization's mission and values.
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in a related field.
• Prior experience as a CFO in an integrated delivery system or medical center.
• Membership in industry organizations or credentials for networking.
• Additional healthcare finance education or experience.
