About the position

AMS Impact Group is seeking an entrepreneurial and mission-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who is aligned with our company values and has a proven track record of successfully managing teams that have significantly scaled companies. The CFO will lead the financial operations of a management company and school model with a combined revenue of $120 million. This role is critical in overseeing the financial health and sustainability of our organization, which includes the management of Academies of Math and Science, a network of 10 top-rated non-profit charter schools in Arizona and Arkansas, serving nearly 10,000 students. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader who can serve as a thought partner to the CEO and the Network Executive Team, focusing on the sustainability of growth through new management contracts, acquisitions, and expansion into new states. The CFO will oversee the presentation of financials, engage with stakeholders, board members, and funders as needed, and lead the finance and accounting teams. This position requires a strong manager who can model and lead financial operations, analyze funding models for expansion, and represent AMS Impact with financial management clients. In addition to strategic leadership, the CFO will oversee budgets exceeding $120 million, lead long-term financial planning, forecasting, and economic modeling, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. The role also involves establishing fiscal stewardship, overseeing internal controls, and driving financial security and sustainability for both Academies of Math and Science and partner schools. The ideal candidate will have experience in non-profit accounting, financial debt deals, and a strong understanding of federal grants and regulations. This position is not just about managing finances; it is about contributing to the transformation of underserved communities and ensuring that our schools can continue to provide high-quality education to students in need. The CFO will play a vital role in the continued, sustainable expansion of AMS Impact Group, which aims to open more schools and increase support to other schools across the nation.
