About the position
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Prime Healthcare is a key executive role responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a hospital within the Prime Healthcare network. This position plays a crucial role in managing financial issues related to budgeting, cash management, capital finance, and performance evaluations, ensuring the hospital's financial health and compliance with healthcare regulations. The CFO will contribute to the organization's mission of delivering exceptional value-based care and will be part of the executive leadership network, exploring both immediate and future opportunities within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial operations of a hospital within the Prime Healthcare network.
- Manage hospital financial issues related to budgeting, cash management, and capital finance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align financial strategies with organizational goals.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to accounting principles.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Accounting / Finance or closely related field.
- Extensive knowledge of Health Care Accounting practices and principles.
- Progressively responsible position in the Accounting profession.
- Familiarity with computer accounting programs.
- Knowledge of insurance matters, regulations, reimbursement, information systems and plant operations.
- Must obtain Sexual Harassment certification within 6 months, and then maintain biennially.
Nice-to-haves
- CPA certification.
- Membership and active participation in ACHE and/or other professional organization preferred.
- Five to seven years experience in hospital accounting/finance; two years in management preferred.
