About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at SchooLinks will lead the finance and operations functions of a rapidly growing venture-backed startup focused on college and career readiness. This role is pivotal in developing a collaborative internal support system, driving a results-oriented culture, and continuously improving operational plans and processes in alignment with the CEO's vision. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, technical, proactive, and accountable, with a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a data-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Hit board approved KPIs
• Run 5 functional areas: Cash management, Accounting, Finance, Revenue operations, Compliance and risk management
• Be a thought partner to the leadership team to design, implement and manage KPIs
• Collaborate with the CEO on the strategic direction of the company

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in leading finance organizations, ideally in enterprise software and SaaS
• Experience in a growth phase with a venture-backed startup from Series A through D
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and SaaS subscription business models
• Ability to manage influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building
• Proven ability to design, implement and manage KPIs
• Strong empathy for customers and passion for revenue and growth
• Analytical and process-oriented operational mindset
• Demonstrated desire for continuous learning and improvement
• Enthusiastic and creative leader with the ability to inspire others
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
